Who can use TypingForest

Anyone can take typing tests without an account. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old. In the EU and UK, users under 16 need the agreement of a parent or guardian.

Your account

• Give accurate details, keep your password safe and don't share your account.
• Choose a respectful username and bio. No impersonation, hate, harassment or offensive content.
• You can delete your account at any time in your settings.

Fair play

Contest, race, tournament and league results must be typed by you, live, on your own keyboard. Pasting text, scripts, macros, bots or anyone else typing for you are not allowed. We check results automatically and by hand, and may remove results, withhold certificates or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Certificates and exam practice

Certificates confirm a result achieved on this site, and each has a code anyone can verify. They are not official qualifications. Exam practice follows the rules we know for each exam, but official exam notices always take priority. Check them before your exam.

Classes

Teachers who create classes are responsible for using them appropriately and for any consent their students need.

Our content

The site, its lessons, texts, games and design belong to TypingForest. You may use them for your own practice and teaching, but not copy or resell them.

Ads

TypingForest is free because it shows ads. Your choices about personalised ads are described in the privacy policy.

No guarantees

We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for the results of any exam or job application.
