About TypingForest

TypingForest helps people learn to type faster and more accurately in the languages they actually use, from English, Español and Français to नेपाली, हिन्दी, العربية, 日本語 and many more.

Why we built it

Most typing tutors only teach English. We wanted lessons, tests and contests that work just as well for every script and keyboard, with nothing extra to install. Every built-in keyboard follows the official Windows layout data from the Unicode Consortium (CLDR).

What you can do here

• Take typing tests in dozens of languages, each with its own page
• Learn at your level in the Typing Academy, from finger placement to expert flow
• Follow keyboard courses that drill the keys you miss most, with an on-screen finger guide
• Prepare for government and job typing exams around the world
• Race people live, join daily contests in your own level division, and earn verifiable certificates

Credits

• Keyboard layouts: Unicode CLDR (Unicode License).
• Common-word lists for many languages: FrequencyWords by Hermit Dave, built from OpenSubtitles 2018, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Our word lists derived from it are shared under the same licence.
• Fonts for share images: Bricolage Grotesque and Inter (SIL Open Font License).

Some word lists for smaller languages were written by our team. If you are a native speaker and spot a mistake, please tell us.
