Preeti typing practice

The classic Nepali font keyboard, still used in Lok Sewa and many offices. Each key types a Preeti glyph; the vowel sign ि is typed before its letter and the र् above a letter (reph) after it.

⌨️ No font to install. Type on your normal keyboard; we read each key's position, so it works even if your computer is set to Nepali. Words are checked when you press Space, like in the exam.

How Preeti differs from Unicode keyboards

  • The vowel sign ि is typed before its letter (key l).
  • The र् written above a letter (reph) is typed after the letter and its vowel signs (key {).
  • Some letters are built from two keys, for example a half letter followed by the ा key.

How you are scored

Like most typing exams: net speed counts the keys of correctly typed words (÷ 5 per minute), gross speed counts every key. A word with any mistake counts as wrong. Check your exam's official notice for its exact pass marks.
